Candice Koepsel, MPT

We are excited to announce Candice Koepsel, our newest physical therapist at Invivo. Candice has five years of experience working with patients who have orthopedic, vestibular and balance disorders. She graduated from UW-Madison with bachelors degrees in Biological Psychology and Piano Performance and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Candice is a member of the Performing Arts Medicine Association, an organization that is committed to improving the health care of performing artists by providing specialized care and education for the prevention of medical issues related to the performing arts.

After an injury delayed her graduation in piano performance, she began to study physical therapy and movement therapies to rehabilitate herself back to playing. Her fascination of the intricate movement of the hands began to carry over to an interest of how the entire body moves, inspiring her to pursue a Master’s in Physical Therapy.

“At Invivo I feel I have finally found a place where practitioners truly care about their patients and use all of their resources to make them better. The facility overlooks the Milwaukee River and the environment is calming and conducive to healing. It is not a large, loud gym like many other facilities,” she says.

Candice also has a background in teaching, and loves to use this experience to encourage patients to become more active contributors in their success. By teaching patients about their problem and thoroughly explaining treatment, she empowers them to return to a healthy lifestyle.
