Jennifer Bertram, L.Ac., MTCM

Jennifer BertramRegaining health does not come from a solitary treatment or a set number of sessions with a doctor. Healing, Jennifer Bertram believes, comes from a holistic approach that brings together the patient and the practitioner to address not just symptoms, but root causes in the mind, spirit, and body. It is a way of restoring and reclaiming health.

After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Jennifer continued her studies at UW Madison in Pre-Med and Population Health. She also worked at the Community Pharmacy in Madison, WI, a unique pharmacy collective where she independently studied herbology, homeopathy, and nutrition. The next step in Jennifer’s academic journey was Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and finally finishing up her education at Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, CA where she received her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her studies in Santa Cruz, she became a teaching assistant in Chinese Herbal Formulas, and began to fuse Eastern and Western Herbology, to achieve maximum benefits. She also worked as an assistant to Tibetan doctor sMenpa Yangdron Kalzong, and under her tutelage, Jennifer observed how every physical ailment manifests in the mind.

Jennifer’s study in multiple medical and healing arts has led her to develop a truly holistic approach that blends Taoist and Buddhist philosophy, acupuncture, Eastern nutrition, Tui na (Chinese massage), and both traditional Chinese and Western Herbology to treat a variety of physical, emotional, and psychological disorders. Jennifer also performs Virginia Doran‚Äôs Ultimate Acupuncture and Massage Facial Rejuvenation, and specializes in digestive health, uterine health, respiratory health and mental health.

Jennifer Bertram is a Nationally Licensed and State Certified Acupuncturist, Nationally certified Herbologist and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the NCCAOM. When not treating patients, Jennifer enjoys her yoga practice, trail running, being outside whether it is in the city or in the forests and spending contemplative time with her Buddhist texts.
