Fitness Classes

Tabata (All levels)

A Tabata interval is an interval training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause 8 times for a total of four minutes. Three to four Tabata intervals with active recovery will be completed during this 30 minute high-intensity class. Modifications and challenges will be offered to all participants to ensure a safe and challenging class.

Fitness Challenge (All levels)

An intense workout that will include strength and conditioning and short bursts of intense activity with active recovery. Improve your stamina, fitness level, balance and strength without burning yourself out. Modifications and challenges will be offered to all participants to ensure a safe a challenging class.

Circuit Club (All levels)

This class is designed to work on cardio respiratory conditioning while improving strength and toning muscles. We will be in constant motion alternating between cardio and strength intervals and then cool-down with a relaxing stretch. Come join the club, class will be in the fitness center!

Outdoor Action-Seasonal

It is time to get outdoors and in summer shape! This will be an action packed hour that will include high gear riverside walking and cardio drills. We add in toning and strengthening exercises using your own body weight and any railings, benches and/or steps we come across on the path. The fresh air, group dynamics and partner work make this a fun and invigorating class for everyone! Class will be held rain or shine! If weather isn’t optimal, we will hold Circuit Club in the fitness center.

Core Challenge (All Levels)

This class incorporates a balanced series of core (abdominals, low back and pelvis) strengthening exercises with an emphasis on effective and efficient ways to target the abdominal muscles.
